REAL life is actively recruiting for community members who are interested in joining our Board of Directors or Advisory Board.
If you are interested and believe you can help make a difference for our target population, we are requesting that you to give serious consideration to the position before committing. A number of one and two year board terms are available, and the next several years promise to be exciting ones for REAL life.
REAL life provides addictions treatment and transitional housing to the criminal justice client as he or she reenters society after a period of incarceration. It has been proven that individuals who receive reentry services upon completion of a term of incarceration have a greater likelihood of success. REAL life is committed to the protection of our community, the reunification of families, and the belief that all individuals are redeemable. The Board of Directors plays a central role in this important work. As you consider this opportunity, we ask that you review the position job descriptions throughly. As you will see; we are expecting the board to be an active one.
A primary responsibility of board directors is to participate in the development of policy and major decision-making activities at board meetings. Another key responsibility is to be active on an ongoing basis in a committee of the board. Board nominees will be asked to make that committee commitment before they are voted onto the board.
